Describe the solution you'd like?

Similar to iterm2, I wish there will be a "zen" mode, when there is only one tab, entering full screen doesn't show the tab page bar. When I only need one tab, the tab bar is really a distraction to me. Plus I also need to use neovim, neovim has its own tab page bar, two tab page bars stacked togther is really a distraction to me.

As the screenshot shows, real full screen without tab bar distaction.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I'd like to see this feature. almost the most important feature to me, as I use "zen mode" everyday, actually I use "zen mode" only.

Not displaying the tabs when there's just one could also make the window title more readable by not limiting the title text length and allowing the title text to take the full window title.

I think this feature might be beneficial not just for aesthetics, as the window title sometimes displays useful information.

yeah I genuinely only use iterm because it has this option. I don't need title bar, tabs or window UI buttons as I feel these are more mouse input functions and terminal should be all about KB input.

it

Please consider implementing this. great app!

We have been calling for this feature for a year now, can you raise the priority? Thanks.
That's the only reason stop me using warp

Hasn't this feature been added yet?

Agreed it's pretty much the only thing that means I won't use it

Yes please. For users of tiling window managers like i3wm where all these bits and pieces are not needed. I'd also like to see a more compact compact mode, where this space isn't wasted. Thanks!

The same. I still use Alacritty and its amazing, look at the screenshot. Because of FOCUS. No lines, no tabs, no double lines prompt. Just fullscreen and work.

You can be terminal Number 1/ but you still are not ---> because you want to be too fancy. We don't actually need fancy, we need SIMPLICITY.

Would be nice to have a zen mode and just hide all the buttons.

This "issue" has been open for over 2 years now, is there actually any appetite from the devs to make this change?

I'm about to ditch this app when it could be so great... this is the only application in my system that has a dedicated top bar, it's so cluttered and I'm over it!

Assuming they are using their limited resources on things that can make this closed-source project profitable so they stay in business. So things like AI, team collaboration, etc., might be taking development time instead of things like this and #2373.

Hopefully this will be worked on since it's one of the more +1'd requests in the issue tracker.

I tried warp for sometime, great terminal, however this feature is perhaps one the things that is preventing me from using warp as my primary terminal, I hope this feature would be released soon.

Same here. Great app but extremely cluttered interface. A "zen" mode would be awesome!

Simplicity is achieved, not when there's nothing else to add but when there's nothing left to take away.

Tried to use it - seems like this is not going to happen - with no plan as far as I can see. The demand is obvious. I think this is short sighted as your intended audience will find this problematic. Will stick with iterm but may look at alacrity. Uninstalling now.

Yeah, I just wandered into this and was googling for a solution, as a tiling wm user the inability to futz with things like this is one of the bigger things holding me back.

Does rio have a zen mode?
