Crash on Fedora 40 #5021
Comments
My Fedora running on VM(VMWare Vision Pro, X86). I might find answer in other issue https://docs.warp.dev/help/known-issues#linux-workarounds, I will try on physical machine. |
Hi @yinxiaolog, could you share the output of your logs after the crash so we can debug further? |
I am experiencing the same issue in Fedora 40 installed on my Dell XPS. When I try to click on "Feedback" it freezes every time so I'm not able to do that step. However, system logs show this:
Machine Specs: Note: I am using Wayland |
@KylerJohnsonDev Would you mind attaching your full logs? When does the crash happen? |
@alokedesai that was the only thing relevant to warp. It was crashing mostly when I tried to do anything other than run commands in the terminal (like access command palette, Feedback, Settings). This is a fresh install of Fedora 40 and when I encountered these errors, I hadn't yet installed the Nvidia driver I needed so Warp was running on my onboard Intel UHD Graphics. Since installing the Nvidia drivers, I haven't had an issue. Warp hasn't crashed again so far and I can access everything seemingly without issue. |
@alokedesai Hi, I have the same problem, I reinstalled Fedora 40 thinking it could be some Gnome extension, but it still keeps closing after a few seconds, even freezes the screen before closing. LOG:
|
Same here. Today I installed Warp on Fedora 40 (physical machine); crashing after 10 seconds or so.

Does this block you from using Warp daily?
Yes, this issue prevents me from using Warp daily.
Is this a Warp specific issue? (i.e. does it happen in Terminal, iTerm, Kitty, etc.)
