The line "emulate -L zsh" added to scripts/initialize, since it is not contained inside of a function, but is sourced from .zshrc, looks to be completely resetting all options to the point before .zshrc is called.

Please revert it.

Yeah, we only need to revert the change in scripts/initialize, no the whole thing, to fix this bug.
