We're looking to update our extension and change its name, does the Package Control support any sort of redirect or renaming?

Yes. Here is an example PR that shows how it's done: wbond/package_control_channel#3399

@wbond, if there aren't any, there should probably be docs on this on sublime.wbond.net.
