In the Wizard the ukulele is missing. Please put in the tuning combobox all the 4 predefined tunings for ukulele.

Also, the tuning combobox for bass and guitar doesn't show all the tunings defined in ly/string-tunings-init.ly.

Finally, it would be nice to have a custom tuning generator: the user should choose the notes and fresco should generate:

\set Staff.stringTunings = \stringTuning <$user-input>

See http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.18/Documentation/notation/common-notation-for-fretted-strings#custom-tablatures

Would I make a separate custom plucked string instrument or add a custom box to all the existing plucked string instruments?

A custom box to all the existing plucked string instrument would the most flexible as there are indeed many ways of tuning most plucked instruments. Yet, I think typical alternative tuning should be accessible (probably to be added over time following the demand for exotic yet common enough tuning) providing a very efficient way to select all the needed instruments and to be able start typing music as fast as possible (especially for new users). I know I am using custom tuning for lots of Led Zeppelin songs and for 4 strings bass parts that needs the low D. It think that to be able to select specific tuning in a custom box would be a great addition to an already wonderful wizard.

I am working most everyday with Frescobaldi and it is for me the single most enjoyable piece of software I have used so far. Thank you very much! (Also, thanks for the line wrapping feature BTW)

So custom tunings ideally should be remembered.

I am also thinking of being able to save a whole score wizard setup and to load it from a list.

As a fully converted (to Lilypond) Finale user, I miss that "custom score" save/reload feature :-)

of course you can craft a template using the score wizard, adjust some stuff and the File->Save as Template. Then it appears in the File->New from template menu. Such a template is just a snippet that can be edited using Ctrl-T.
