nextjs是ssr框架
modern.js应该算是面向web workflow 集中收敛cli的方案

已经主流的、接近主流的、有主流潜质的设计和解决方案，当然没必要另起炉灶呀，而且还要有意靠拢，帮它成为主流

如果能基于 Next.js 搞 Modern.js（比如把它作为依赖），肯定是很好的，Modern.js 这个项目是为了「继续发展」、「突破瓶颈问题」，更希望能专注在新的上层领域，或填补空白的下层领域。

只是目前还做不到，这个事情也会持续评估，包括去提 PR 改 Next.js，给这种融合创造条件
