Not a big deal of an issue but I keep getting a warning in the console in Chrome saying
Script contained non-latin characters that were forced to latin. Some characters may be wrong.
As I said, nothing too serious as everything works, but if I place more than one element on the page then the warning gets repeated once for each element and it can become annoying. I managed to get rid of it by simply rewriting the script part in my-element.html from scratch, so now no warning is raised.
I've forked your repo and created a branch for this, so if you think it's any good I will send a pull request. In any case, thanks for this useful resource.

Thanks a lot for reporting but this seems like an issue with the Polymer project itself.
That's why I recommend you to move it to: https://github.com/Polymer/polymer
