To someone not familiar with flex it looks like the homepage is still http://flex.sourceforge.net/ (this is what google and essentially all the links on the web say) and that page implies that downloads happen from sourceforge --and the download page says that the newest version is 2.6.0.

This is downright dangerous (as it leads people to believe there are no security updates): the page should be updated to link to github.

Thanks for pointing this out. The sf homepage now refers people to github.

Necromancing :-) Please also adjust https://sourceforge.net/projects/flex/ where issue trackers and others were disabled, letting people know that the project moved using the official setting for this in SF.

To set this: login as project admin, go to https://sourceforge.net/p/flex/admin/overview then to "Metadata" and then (on the right side) set "project moved to:" to "https://github.com/westes/flex" (some people also adjust the project title on the same place adding "[moved to GitHub]").

Result: a "moved to" clickable badge is visible on all SF pages for the project, just like the project title.

Another option would be to let SF sync from GitHub (one time setup as SF project admin): https://sourceforge.net/p/import_project/github / https://sourceforge.net/p/forge/documentation/GitHub%20Importer/#importing-to-an-existing-sourceforge-project.
