Other comics still working, except for maybe boatcrime which hasn't updated in a long time so who knows what's going on there. Presumably there was a change in the SMBC HTML.

I'm running Chrome 27.0.1453.110 on Ubuntu 13.04 64bit.

Looks like they changed the image format from GIF to PNG.
This is fixed in 2181772
and a new version is now in the Chrome Web Store. You should be automatically upgraded soon.
