16.2 contains four occurrences of use script to handle (using code formatting to indicate that no spec formatting is being omitted).

Something seems to be missing which would make the intent clearer; these sentence fragments probably mean use the <code>script</code> element to handle (short use <code>script</code> to handle) or use a script to handle?

No; "use script to handle" is perfectly grammatical. It is like "use cursive to write" or "use technology to solve".
