Hi folks,

As many of you know, I’m designing a State of HTML survey, funded by Google, to survey web developers' practices, views, and pain points around HTML and related APIs.

This is a great chance to get info on things like…

  • Which upcoming HTML features are authors aware of and how do they feel about them?
  • Which HTML features are a pain to use right now?
  • What unmet needs are there around HTML?

and so on.

If there are any features you're working on that you want to make sure are on our radar, please comment below.
Time is of the essence, since we need to finalize the outline soon.
HTML-adjacent APIs are fair game too (e.g. DOM, WC, PWA etc).

In case you want to explore the current state, almost all planning and design work is happening in the open:
