Is there some reason that it doesn't detect the correct version of Firefox? Thanks.

It works for me on Firefox 31 on Windows 7. Can you provide any more info? (OS, any extensions that might be causing the user agent to be different, stuff like that)

Thanks for your quick reply Dan. I tried again on my personal computer (Firefox 31 on Windows XP) and it worked all right. When I saw "Firefox 4.0.0 on Windows 7" it was on my work computer in the office - perhaps the error resulted from my company's firewall? Just guessing...

If you visit http://whichbrowser.net/ what is the useragent string displayed below the identification?

Hi Niels, here is the string displayed below the identification:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20140716 Firefox/4.0.0; xs-sZiha3_ujhI;CoAbOY;

The useragent string says "Firefox/4.0.0". So WhichBrowser is working properly. Perhaps you use a useragent switcher in the past and not the useragent is stuck on an older version.

Thanks. That makes sense.
