Feature request: Retrieve comments from the original instance

I've been around with tooot for a while - since the project is on hold, I had to look for another Android app for Mastodon. Discovered Mastify and I think this one could become my next favorite one.
Since I'm a user of a very small instance, the most important feature in tooot was to not only see comments from users my instance knows about - whenever I click on a toot in tooot, the app doesn't load the comments from the instance I'm on - it retrieved all comments from the instance of the original post.

I would love to see this feature on Mastify. If someone's able to bring this to the app, feel free to text me for a little 30€/$ tip!

Hey forenta, Can you give me an example of such a post? Because it seems that in general, the post loads all the comments, regardless of whether it's the instance you're in or not

Thanks for chiming in, I'll try to explain this with an example: There's a toot you'll see here. As you can see on the link, there's a comment below by @endorama@hachyderm.io. @endorama has 0 followers on our instance - so when you load the original toot on a Mastodon (or Mastify) from an instance that doesn't have followers for @endorama, you see the post with the link to Vimeo by @rhaidiz, but the comment below with the emoji by @endorama doesn't appear.

In tooot this issue has been solved: If you open the toot, tooot doesn't open https://my.instance.tld/@rhaidiz@infosec.exchange/123456789 - it loads the toot from it's original instance - https://infosec.exchange/@rhaidiz/112345419064657781. The comments by people unknown on my instance are marked with 🛜:
