Your library is currently more stable/sane than most of other libraries (at least it works better than other libraries). Maybe it'll be good idea to make fuse interface or at least some CLI stuff, cause current GUI is really looks like "proof of concept" stuff, not as something usable.

Why? :) I uploaded dozens of albums and movies already. Anyway, nice suggestion. I'm thinking about adding lftp/smbclient-like interactive shell. Currently you could use mtp-test to list/delete/upload/download files from command line with no ui clutter

fuse can be just transparent and nicely integrated with any DE you want (if you want any).

I implemented read-only fuse operations, so you could try it right away. Support of write operations is on its way. ./aft-mtp-mount

Finally fuse wrapper is fully functional, please test and report new issues instead of commenting this one. :) CLI tool is mtp-test and I will rename it eventually
