Hello all, hopefully you don't mind the smount of mod posts lately, we are still getting our footing and figuring out how best to support this community. One idea brought up in our stickied idea thread here was to have a weekly, monthly, or some sort of project showcase.
What do you guys think is the best way to achieve that?
Couple off the cuff ideas we've been throwing around:
weekly language specific challenges
collaboration with a design subreddit like /r/uxdesign. Perhaps they could do a weekly challenge to make a simple app and then our challenge is to have groups of buddies complete the app and be reviewed by the community.
"bomb" an opensource project for a monthly challenge. Vote on a project to help, clear their issue boards for the month.
If you have any other ideas, they are welcome. We are committed to making this a valuable community. Let's build some shit!
Love,
the mod team
