This discussion is with regard to the
wikirefs-spec
package:There are typed wikilinks that look similar to wikiattrs, except they are rendered when there is no newline after the wikilink.
This sort of feels redundant and I thought about nixing it -- a typed wikilink could just be a wikiattr after all. But this one use case gave me pause:
If typed wikilinks are supported, then this syntax can exist: It allows multiple footnote markers to point to a single source, which then lists the typed wikilink. This means the wikilink can be sorted and filtered based on the
src
type and the wikilinks can be kept DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself). But it is simpler and cleaner just to make typed wikilinks === wikiattrs.
🤷
Should typed wikilinks be nixed or kept?
Thoughts and ideas appreciated!
