missing status bar

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go into full screen mode

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
We are developing a rcp application. We use the (bottom) status bar to show
the status of some services while running our application. Is it possible
to enable this statusbar in full screen mode by a preference? Also the
progress bar dissapears and is actually very usefull for our application
when running in full screen mode.
