Can 'move the axis by keyboard arrow keys' feature be optional?

I just broke a drill bit while trying to write a gcode (I accidentally clicked one of the arrow buttons).

I prefer turning it off while I position the tip by writing gcode manually.

On the machine control tab uncheck the "Enable Keyboard Movement" box.

It also disables the buttons, I was talking about just turning off 'keyboard arrow keys'. Being able to move X & Y 1 step at a time is not really useful anyway.

The checkbox should not disable the buttons, just the keyboard. Maybe you found a bug?

Moving X & Y in various step distances (jogging) is indeed very useful for picking up zero locations, or moving the tool out of the way for part changes.

You can move more than one "unit" at a time if you change the distance in the box.
