What exactly is the the default timeout for the http client and how to override this value? I have seen requests getting stuck for more than than I would like.

It uses the hato wrapper over the JDK's http client, and from the looks of it, the connection & request timeouts are unlimited my default.

I agree it would be good to be able to control it so I'll have a look what's involved.
