Over the last week, I've had three different people reach out to me because Wolvenkit operations failed without an apparent reason. After Seb tipped me off about path length, I was able to track that to the root of the issue each time.

Affected operations were:

  • opening an .app file
  • importing an .mlmask
  • opening a mesh

Optimally, Wolvenkit would start warning when too-long file paths are found. At which points should we do that?
