I resolved this issue by reediting my script. My first line was EXT. RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBOURHOOD-DAY but when I selected the line in Writer Solo it said it was an ACTION and not a SCENE. I changed that line to a SCENE and now Storyboarder can create ID's for that scene. I then used writer solo to export my scripts as .fdx or .fountain and opened again in Storyboarder and it worked.
I encountered another problem tho, my SCENE was in Storyboarder but the rest of the script was empty.
Instead I tried using Open instead of Create new storyboard to open the script in Storyboarder. After that It automatically created a folder for Storyboarder for my storyboard to be saved in. I think it helps to have only 1 script in the folder.
Hi,
When I attempt to select a script for a new storyboard project I get the following error:
Could not parse Final Draft data.
Cannot read property '0' of undefined
Is there an alternative way to import a script other than as a .fountain file?
Thanks,
Brandon
