This issue is a follow-up to #45547

Issue description

We need to remove the deprecated files since 8.8.0 to ensure a clean repository. We should at least wait 2 or 3 core versions to ensure ample opportunity to migrate.

Acceptance criteria

  1. Remove deprecated classes
  2. Ensure no regression
