Expected behavior

I can control any notifications within the WordPress iOS app which can also be toggled per site at https://wordpress.com/me/notifications

Actual behavior

New order push notifications for Jetpack connected WooCommerce sites can only be toggled from https://wordpress.com/me/notifications and not from within the app.

This caused confusion and frustration for site owners as Store functionality is not a core component of WordPress.com or self-hosted WordPress sites.

Posted after discussion here - https://wordpress.org/support/topic/turn-off-woocommerce-notification-on-ios-app-2

Steps to reproduce the behavior

An order is placed on a WooCommerce site which has Jetpack connected to a WordPress.com user. This user is signed into the WordPress mobile app.
A push notification appears but there is not a toggle to turn off this push notification within the app at Me > Notifications Settings > {site} > Push Notifications

To turn off, head to https://wordpress.com/me/notifications and toggle off the options:

Tested on [device], iOS [version], WPiOS [version]

iPhone 7
iOS 12.1 (16B92)
WPiOS (internal) 11.3.0.2018.1119 & latest public release

Related, this push notification would be something to remove from the Mobile Apps after the WooCommerce Mobile apps have notification functionality.

I wonder if we can change the direction of this.

Since we have the WooCommerce apps, I wonder if we can instead stop new order push notifications going to the mobile app since we have no UI for controlling these?

I thought we stopped sending Woo push notifications to the WordPress apps. I haven't seen it happen, at least so I think we can safely close it.

@astralbodies @aerych FYI we are still sending if the option is toggled on.

This issue is related to the fact you cannot toggle these notifications off/on from the App settings
