API Manager 3.0.0 - drop all changes in carbon.xml file during start server

Hi,

I try to change some values in <APIManager_Home>/repository/conf/carbon.xml.
But after starting WSO2 server this file is overrode by default carbon.xml - all changes are dropped.

It looks strangely, because in API Manager 3.0.0 documentation I found, that it is possible to change this file.

Please, can you give explanation of this situation.

Hi @igkononov ,

It is not recommended to change the values in carbon.xml file directly , We have introduce a new unified configuration model in API Manager 3.0.0 where you could change any server configuration parameter through a single configuration file (<APIM-ROOT>/repository/conf/deployment.toml), You could find more information about configuration parameters in our Configuration Catalog.

Could you please point the API Manager 3.0.0 WSO2 documentation, which has asked to change the configuration in carbon.xml file.

Save me a lot of time this thread... I really was surprised to see that I put the Offset on 2 and after starting the Offset was put back on 0 !!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the direction to the toml file because the articles on the web are all talking about the carbon.xml
