Can't set an ordinal data field as the color categorization field of Scatter Chart

Description:
When the color categorization field is assigned with an ordinal data field, some data points go missing providing an erroneous result.

this.chartConfig = {
  charts: [
     {
          type: 'scatter',
          x: 'API_NAME',
          y: 'SUB_COUNT',
          color: 'CREATED_BY',
          size: 'REQ_COUNT',
      },
  ]
 };

 this.metadata = {
        names: ['API_NAME', 'CREATED_BY', 'REQ_COUNT', 'SUB_COUNT'],
        types: ['ordinal', 'ordinal', 'linear', 'linear'],
 };
