ON/OFF Slider not Showing upon start up

Describe the bug

Installed PulseEffects from Ubuntu Software store.
It was working a week ago but now it seems that the ON/OFF slider itself is not showing up on screen.
Tried re-installing and also using flatpak but still not working.

Expected Behavior

ON/OFF Slider should display immediately after startup and real time effects should be possible.

Version 4.8.4

This PulseEffects version is known to have problems in newer systems. Updating to 4.8.7 or using a package the builds from our legacy branch https://github.com/wwmm/easyeffects/tree/pulseaudio-legacy will probably solve your problem.

Are you sure you actually launched the flatpak version and not another package? The flatpak build has been on 4.8.7 for some time. Try flatpak run com.github.wwmm.pulseeffects
