Allow user to select time period and scale compression of editing history (graph or barchart). For instance, allowing entire history to be displayed on one screen, or just showing one month's editing. Take a look at how Wikichecker http://en.wikichecker.com/user/?t=Spinningspark handles this for instance. The number of edits to analyze is selectable by the user. I also find the horizontal graph better to read than the vertical time scale bar chart of SuperCount. So the options I would suggest are;
*User selectable start and end dates
*User selectable scale (day/div, month/div, year/div etc)
*User selectable orientation (horizontal or vertical)
*User selectable format (bars, graph, points, cumulative etc)

I'd also add:
*User selectable scaling (linear / logarithmic) --> issue #18
*User selectable edit type (all edits / manual edits only) --> issue #5

Can we split this into seperating issues. I can keep better track of what's added and what's not.

I'm fine with that.

The two options I proposed are now separate issues. I also created one for the horizontal display, #19.
