In "Album" Preset, the album cover slowly fades in and out continuously. The full cycle lasts, as I measured, about 10 seconds. It seems that every cycle is devided into 4 equal parts of 2.5 seconds each: cover display (25%), fade out (25%), full darkness (25%), fade in (25%). This means the actual album cover is displayed uninterrupted for only 2.5 seconds per 10-second cycle, as the rest — 7.5 seconds or 75% — is fading in and out of darkness.
When using the Album Preset, the main focus of the visualization should be put on displaying the album cover — as preset name suggests — not on darkness. So I believe the current proportions are a mistake: the album cover should be displayed uninterrupted for 75% of the cycle, and not more than 25% should be spent to fading in and out of darkness.
Besides that, it would be appropriate for the "cycling effect" to be optional, with default behavior displaying they album cover 100% of the time in the middle of the screen — exactly like the default Matrix Preset displays the Kodi logo.
