Thank you for using Kodi and our issue tracker. This is your friendly Kodi GitHub bot 😉 It seems that you have not followed the template we provide and require for all bug reports (or have opened a roadmap item by accident). If you believe it was sent in error, please say so and a team member will remove the "Ignored rules" label. |
Do you have a debug log that shows the behaviour? |
No. I know it is missing. When it occurs again I will add it to the bug report. |
Hey. So it has happened again. I got the logs. They are quite short because it has occurred right after the start. didn't even get to start any video.
What I have noticed is that I left kodi launched in this state for some time and there are no logs after 22:43:13. |
That log seems to be only a regular log with standard log verbosity. Make sure you enable debug logging else keypresses will not be logged |
Happened again, now you have it with debug level logging. |
@matustokar Your log contains banned addons. Also, please use https://paste.kodi.tv/ for logs. We don't like downloading files to our personal computers. |
May I ask to reopen this bug since I also have that issue? However, in my case I am perfectly able to replicate it - in fact, Kodi doesn't accept input from WebOS within a couple of seconds after startup. I am on Kodi 21.0.0 and WebOS 4.9.0 (OLED77W9PJA, FW 05.30.25). I have a debug log uploaded to https://paste.kodi.tv/avuyawiyux.kodi - I don't know how helpful it is though, because (at least the way I read it) the button presses that arent registered dont show up in the log at all. It seems that it ignores all input from WebOS - I have tried with the Magic Remote, with an WebOS API for Home Assistant I do also have another issue, which may or may not be related: Using Yatse I am able to play media just fine, even without native input. However, after a couple of minutes the screensaver kicks in. This is only valid for the custom screensaver app. The native screensaver of the TV does not show this behavior. Now - I couldn't care less about the custom screensaver and just uninstall it - However, PicCap (or Hyperion) also stop capturing/sending events to my WLED setup when they think the screensave should be active... So basically all light synchronization stops after a couple of minutes. It resumes when I press a button on the remote/do something, that would wake up the tv. This is also exclusive to Kodi - Moonlight runs perfectly fine for hours. So either its the same thing and Kodi somehow fails to "interact" with WebOS, or this is a second issue with Kodi not doing something that it should to prevent the screensaver from kicking in... Shall I open a seperate ticket for that? |
Sure we can reopen this issue. I don't see anything wrong with the linked log however and it's probably not. If you want to look into this I'd start by adding some more logging to For the second issue it's better to track it in a separate issue and attach a debug log including the time the mentioned behaviour kicks in. |
Thanks! And of course! I would be happy to help sorting this out! |
What I have noticed: If I run kodi at homebrew's startup hooks in EDIT: Its not about running kodi in startup hook. If I don't hit any remote's buttons after start soon enough, kodi will not react to it later altogether. |
