I'm not an algo guy, so i'm not able to implement it myself but basically today dero hardforked (again)

Sweet maybe it will go back to normal daemon without stupid useless WSS wrapped around it for no reason, and then we can use them on MoneroOcean again...

seems like dero is trying to flushing the miners community with unstable/buggy implementation of algorithm.

We decided to give the Dero team what they deeply want, any support for AstroBWT will be dropped in the next release.

Totally understand the sentiment and the reasoning for dropping support for Dero. However, I would much rather use XMRIG than the other miner options available.
