Viewing problems #5
Comments
This is mostly in reference to #5. At some point, I might experiment around with the responsive features in Bootstrap. But, frankly, it was so difficult to organize everything with a fixed layout that I have a hard time seeing how the responsive features could do anything but make a mess of the content. I'd like to try, but this is definitely a 'version 2.0' issue. For now, people will just have to leave with the (not unreasonable) screen size limitations.
See my commit comment for more details. Ultimately, I'd like this to be as portable as possible (even tablets), but I think a minimize screen size will always be required. |
For smaller tablets and laptops up to 15" a vertical resolution of 800 px is quite common and one should not have to scroll on such devices. The width on the other side is normally standard with at least 1280px So one idea would be probably to make the MoWeR more letter-box like. |
The small triangle/pointer of the popup windows is always centered so that even on a display wider than minimum width large popups might not point to their source link. Maybe it is possible to move the little pointing triangle? |
As solution to the problem that 1/2 of pop-over is wider than there space left to the left (or right) border would be to allow line breaks for example in the description string (or to force those). Then the triangle would have a chance to point also at the right spot. |
I don't know if this is unique to Internet Explorer, but I have viewing problems with the pop-up windows if my browser window is too narrow. Compare the halfscreen and fullscreen screenshots to see what I mean.
