Typographer for copyright symbol (c) etc not working

Hi!
I am trying to figure out how the typographer works and can't seem to be able to enable it.
It should replace special chars like (c) with the proper unicode codepoint © but I cont even find where to enable it.

There is no such a thing to convert (c) to unicode in markdig.
