Apparently, this awesome extension won't work with Manifest v3 since it's not possible to access filesystem API from service-worker

Does anyone have any suggestions how to work around this? I don't keep up with the latest news on extensions API changes :(

Hi, I wrote a package mv3-hot-reload for solving this problem, it is easy to use.

@pacexy's solution looks excellent. Very well written and doesn't require action from the Chromium team.
