Unable to upload testfile to EOS with xrdcp

I'm trying to upload a small testfile to EOS using different authentication methods.
Steps to reproduce:
I lose my kerberos token, I have a DIRAC Proxy, $XrdSecPROTOCOL is not set. Then I try to upload and it fails with "Operation not permitted".

$ kdestroy
$ echo $XrdSecPROTOCOL

$ xrdcp --version
v4.3.0
$ export EOS_MGM_URL="root://eospublic.cern.ch"
$ source /afs/cern.ch/project/eos/installation/client/etc/setup.sh
$ xrdcp --debug 3 /afs/cern.ch/user/j/jebbing/dirac_home/ILCDIRAC/Testfiles/testfile.txt root://eospublic.cern.ch//eos/clicdp/grid/ilc/user/j/jebbing/

Error I get is

In a different Terminal dirac-proxy-info tells me I have a valid proxy:
