Would be really nice if xteve could work out of the box with Channels DVR. Currently Channels DVR throws a tuner unavailable message when trying to tune to a xteve channel.

This is not due to xTeVe. Channels DVR does not accept xTeVe's streaming URLs. Channels DVR only accepts URLs that look exactly like those of an HD HomeRun tuner.
Plex and Emby work out of the box with the xTeVe URLs.

FYI, Channels DVR now allows you to create custom channels from streaming URLs. I setup and started using xTeve today to provide m3u/dummy xmltv data for my security camera streams. It's working fine with only one issue I can see so far, xTeve dummy names each episode by the name of the day of week and time slot, instead of a full date in the xml file it outputs. Channels DVR is pretty strict about not recording shows already recorded, so if you tried to record the same time slot on two separate WED's, only the first would record. If I could make xteve use the date instead of day of week to name episodes, it's would be a rock solid solution (well, it's pretty solid now, that ability would make it perfect). Glad I discovered xTeve, I currently wouldn't be able to record my camera streams without it, at least not without manually typing it out with daily changes. 👍
