The official website https://pyyaml.org/ lists "2020-06-01: LibYAML 0.2.5 is released." as the latest news. It doesn't list the newest PyYAML 6.0 release.

This is misleading, and probably not the best place to stay updated about PyYAML releases anyway. Please remove or update.

That (outdated) page is also linked to from https://pypi.org/project/PyYAML/

EDIT: Ahh, looks like https://github.com/yaml/pyyaml.org is the source for https://pyyaml.org/ and it hasn't been updated since June 2020! 😢

yep, just ran into this too. very confusing, also with sourceforge pages as well.
