Trying to install Yarn on a Debian Buster system with the official instructions gives:

N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-ppc64el/Packages' as repository 'https://dl.yarnpkg.com/debian stable InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'ppc64el'

ppc64le is widely available and in use both on desktop and server; if Yarn is not in the official Debian/Ubuntu repositories, then the official Yarn repositories should include ppc64le packages.
