The lag function does not load anymore with the command plm::lag as it used to do with previous versions.
To reproduce the error it is sufficient to execute plm::lag on the console

I noticed the same. However, you can use the function with plm:::lag.pseries().

Thank for notifying! Will look into this!
(Note that the panel-lag of plm is executed anyway if lag() encounters a pseries given that the plm package is loaded.)

This should be fixed by commit 1085 in our development repository on R-Forge: https://r-forge.r-project.org/R/?group_id=406

New version 2.4-1 of plm is now on CRAN.
