• Utilized Node.js to create a simple app that used RESTful APIs to run CRUD operations.
• Functionality includes displaying synagogue prayer times and announcements as well as static information about the synagogue.
• Handled data security by hashing passwords, serving over HTTPS, and securing the database with user and password authentication.
• Faced challenges with hosting provider but resolved by switching to Heroku.
• Currently working on implementing sponsorships and donation features based on user feedback.

February 2024 - April 2024 (still currently maintaining and updating)

• Developed a website for a prominent Hasidic rabbi to list books he is rewriting and collect sponsorships and dedications.
• Used Stripe and Node.js for collecting sponsorships and PostgreSQL for the database.
• Implemented backend queries using SQL pools to a Heroku-provided PostgreSQL database.
• Solved Stripe integration challenges using webhooks to update the database with event-driven information.
• Perform regular updates and tests to ensure functionality and provide the latest event information.

In Development

• Inspired by a love for chess and computing, started a chess program using MVC architecture in Python with Next.js for the frontend.
• Implemented alpha-beta pruning into a minimax search algorithm for evaluation and move generation.
• Future plans include using Lichess APIs to play the bot against other bots and achieve a rating of 3000.
