Exploit doesn't work on some cartridge games?

I'm on firmware 11.0.0-30U, using steelhax.

The exploit seems to work fine when I run 3ds apps like eshop and others, but when I try to get online in games like pokemon sun, it tells me a system update is required. This is after I ran ctr-httpwn on homebrew, and I didn't reboot my 3ds. Am I doing something wrong, or is it supposed to be this way?

also interested in this. a few days ago i used httpwn on sun (german) successfully. now it promts me to update the system after i launched the application
is there a bypass? o3ds

As said in the README, without a New3DS no.

Well anyways, downgraded to 9.2 now. probably wont be a problem anymore.
