Could you share more info? Installing node-sass simply fails for you? Does installing the same node-sass version in an empty project fail for you as well?

Hey. Change in your package.json
"gulp-sass": "^5.1.0", and add "sass": "^1.58.3".
And then replace $.sass to sass. And last, add new import const sass = require('gulp-sass')(require('sass'));

That's what helps me
