3.1.1b7 has API Version 8 and Sparkle Version 8.

There are other complications as well. The version listed in the Info.plist for Stacks differs from the version reported by the API and sent in Sparkle requests.

Fix was to make a single source for the information (the plist), global function to retrieve this info, and remove the ugly preprocessor macro that is responsible for this mess.
