Videos no longer marked as watched with --mark-watched

Description of your issue, suggested solution and other information

Since updating to the latest version, youtube-dl doesn't seem to be marking YouTube videos as watched. I used to see a "marking as watched" message in its output. The log is downloading of a video I've added to my Watch Later (WL) list on YouTube.
