Currently, itest converts a snapshot build (something like
yugabyte-1.3.1.0-03c7ae0028ce3e50c16abf25b81c340fe773ca8e-release-centos-x86_64.tar.gz) to a numbered build yugabyte-1.3.1.0-b9-centos-x86.. as part of the daily itest run. It fails to do this for darwin builds. This means that releasing darwin builds is a manual process.
