It has been observed that the cron jobs on every node in a cluster, do not redirect stdout and stderr to a log file. Consequently, the yugabyte user gets an email with the log contents.
The cron jobs should log to the data volume instead. This would eliminate the risk of filling up the root filesystem and also makes managing of these logs much easier.
