I can't confirm with the Macbook Pro M3 Pro and latest Sonoma 14.3

Chrome: 121.0.6167.85
MenuMeters: 2.1.6.1

Chrome Speedtest: ~850 Mbit/s both up and down
MenuMeters: 107 MB/s both up and down

Works like a charm for years now. :)

solved thanks to 80211WiGuy, the link he reported in its message showed that issue seems to be related to the "Content Filter" installed by my Intego app (Netbarrier) that shows up in Network-> VPN & Filters. When I disable it i the downstream speed starts reporting normally. Tested work, now to investigate what mean disabling it but it works now.

Also seeing no download throughput on Sonoma after latest updates, which is my most 'important' metric (limited bandwidth). May be related to content filters set by my work but I can't control them. I have GlobalProtectEndpoint filter + SEP network filter active.

Activity monitor is however able to display network download throughput so there does exist an API for fetching this data despite content filters... would be great if menumeters could be robust to this.
