Youtube Video doesn't pause on TV when controlling from Smartphone. Also when you try to disconnect from casting, the video still plays on TV. Can anyone fix the problem? Oh it also doesn't seek the video timeline when scrolling from a smartphone too.

I have the same problem when I use either of the 4K launchers (4K Main or 4K Alt), if I cast a YouTube video from my phone to my fire tv using the Smart YouTube app it won’t let me control the video at all. I can’t skip around the video or pause it, it just changes the play/pause button on the YouTube app on my phone to a play button that does nothing. If I change to the 1080 Main or 1080 Alt launcher I can control everything again.

So any progress of this getting it fix for casting control for the 4K version from your smartphone to tv, too seek, pause, and play? Please fix ASAP. It's almost been month since I address the problem. I tried Lite Version with 4K codecs unlock from settings but it doesn't show anything. The the video, tv mouse cursor, screen goes black. You have press the back button, leaving the video for the screen to show back again. Couldn't you just copy the player code to cast control from 1080p version to 4K version, or it's different? Is there a notification that you can make a upload a beta for this?

Hello!

Have the same problem as members above:

I have tried to use the video casting option with this set up: Official YT app on my Tablet and the Smart YT TV app running on my Android TV Box (HiMedia Q10 Pro). I have tried with the "TV code" option and casting works only for starting the playback, but none of the Playback control function works on the Tablet YT app: Can't pause, seek or adjust the volume of the video, pressing these functions just doesn't do anything on the Smart YT app on the Box. When not in playback, the voice search and the remote function still working tho'.

The other casting connection option is not working at all as I even couldn't connect that way to the Box. The Tablet YT app shows only a device called "Google cast device", but it fails to connect and asks for some kind of 4 digit pin code.

Edit.: I have tried now also with the Lite app versions and I could get the Play/Pause and the Seek function working, but no 4K this way and also the Volume control from the Tablet app (in the pop-up after pressing the Cast icon) still doesn't do anything. So got no control around the volume from the Tablet/Phone at all.

Have also tried this casting with KODI+TubeCast add-on installed and it's working fully properly for the playback controls even the Volume adjustment from the Tablet YT app, but I would like to have these also working in the Smart YT TV app as I would more prefer this solution.

Please advice how to get it working (even on the Pro app versions) or please try to get a fix for the problem!

Thank you!

Can confirm. The loading icon stays in the middle of the screen forever, can't pause, and can't seek. The notification and the box at the bottom displays the status correctly as playing, however can't pause from there either. Nor can I stop the song by hitting the X.
