With NixOS/nixpkgs#83106 I have created a pull request to get RazerGenie into nixpkgs, the package repository of the Nix package manager, and have marked myself as maintainer of this package.

If you have some extra time I'd be nice if you could look into if the razer_test branch (which should soon become the master branch) works correctly on NixOS (I've also split part of the RazerGenie codebase into a separate repo: https://github.com/z3ntu/libopenrazer). (note that meson will download two subprojects, libopenrazer and razer_test (my new openrazer-like daemon), I cover libopenrazer in the next paragraph and I'll likely get rid of the razer_test dependency)

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the next release yet but likely a tarball which contains both RazerGenie and libopenrazer because the interface is still highly unstable and I don't want to create additional packaging pain. In the future (or rather when other people are using libopenrazer) I might make libopenrazer a separate thing that should be packaged separately.
