Problem with new instance

I have installed and build the project on my mac as described in main repo page. it's running fine but its not finding any tweets or any data related to twitter and it looks like its just the frontend only.
Then i put it up to my windows server vps and its still same thing there.
The thing is I did not setup ssl/tls on my server or local machine. Is it optional or required for this to work as it is working on nitter.net?
Is there any other dependancies I'm missing that might cause this issue??
PS: I also did not provide a domain name and used the server ip address. is that an issue too?
PS2: I don't think SSL would be my problem. bc the same issue is hapening on https://nitter.datura.network/ i assume something is wrong there too? i have same problem thats on this instance.

Currently the main branch doesn't work, take a look at https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/wiki/Guest-Account-Branch-Deployment to set up an instance that uses the new guest account system that's required to fetch anything.

The reason https://nitter.datura.network/ has the same behavior is because they haven't updated their instance to use the guest accounts branch.
