The "link" icon doesn't convey the idea of a link #143

The infinite symbol can sometimes be used as it looks a little like a chain, but only with some fonts, not with the one that was choose here.

I think an icon could be used without sacrificing too much performance.

I like the idea of having a special character as an icon. Do you suggest another one?

I don't know one. There might be one, though, I too frequently use this trick.

But using a rare character because it looks like an icon should be done with caution as it might add a dependency to a specific font. And the site yet has a rich (and beautiful) set of image, a coherent icon would perfectly fit.

Depending on the font this, this one might work : ⚯

Well. I don't know. It's probably better but other opinions are needed here.

It looks alright to me the way it is now. The font thing @Canop mentioned might be a problem, but visually, it looks okay

In my opinion, the infinite symbol doesnt look so good for acessibility. When I visited the page for the first time I didnt realized that the icon would a link.

I liked the second version :)

Closing, 7 months has passed and there was no better suggestion.
